This Irish musician just shut down Shazam for calling him 'British'
PEOPLE OF IRELAND, we are sorry to report that, despite our best efforts, Irish people are still being claimed as British.
The latest person to fall prey to this is musician James Vincent McMorrow who has been described by Shazam as “one of the finest voices in British soul”.

McMorrow took Shazam to task on Twitter earlier this evening by gently informing them that he’s actually from that island to the left of the United Kingdom…

This is just the latest instance of countries claiming Irish people as their own. Last week, comedian David O’Doherty had to correct an Australian radio station that described him as a “UK comedian”.
